Lonie Davis Jr.
On November 23, 2025, Lonie Davis was sleeping in a 16-foot open motorboat, tied up to one of his two sailboats and anchored in the Columbia River, near the mouth of the Skipanon River, near Warrenton, OR. Around 4 a.m., he called his girlfriend and reported his anchor line broke and he was drifting west, toward the Columbia River bar. About 45 minutes later, he told her his boat had capsized and he was in the water. His phone went dead. The U.S. Coast Guard searched the area by boat and helicopter. The Coast Guard located the motorboat near Cape Disappointment, WA. The Clatsop County Sheriff's Office has conducted searches by boat and airplane.
