For citizens: All citizen reports are subject to review before approval into the system. Simply create an account and head to https://projectaziz.com/cases/create and fill out the form. An intake specialist will review and possibly reach out. Upon acceptance the alert hits the network.
For First Responders: Cases entered by first responders are automatically approved and live in the system.

- For Citizens & Families: The core platform is 100% free. Families can broadcast alerts, coordinate search efforts, and access the network without any financial barriers.
- For First Responders: Basic access, incident reporting, and core coordination tools are completely free. For agencies requiring advanced integrations, dedicated localized infrastructure, or premium analytics, enterprise-grade tiers are available.
Technical & Network Resilience
No. Project Aziz is built to operate independently of traditional cellular networks. When internet or mobile signals are disrupted by disasters or congestion, the platform automatically switches to a localized, peer-to-peer mesh network. As long as there are active nodes nearby, devices can continue to share critical data, location updates, and coordination alerts within the mesh ecosystem.
The network is self-healing. Because Project Aziz uses a distributed mesh architecture, there is no "central" point of failure. If a specific hardware node loses power or connectivity, the surrounding nodes instantly detect the change and automatically reroute data traffic through the next best available path. Operations continue seamlessly without manual intervention.
Privacy & Data Security
Data security is foundational to our architecture. We employ end-to-end encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Sensitive information—such as the exact coordinates of a child or specific medical details—is accessible only to authorized personnel. We adhere to strict data minimization principles, ensuring that temporary data is purged from the active system once an incident is resolved.
Access is governed by a strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system:
Public/Citizens: Can view generalized public alerts and safety instructions.
Verified Searchers: Can view specific mission-related data within their assigned sector.
Command/First Responders: Have full operational visibility to coordinate resources effectively.
No third-party advertisers or unauthorized entities have access to movement history or PII.
Operations & Moderation
We utilize a multi-layered verification protocol. Before an alert is broadcast to the wider network, it must pass through automated integrity checks and, for high-priority incidents, manual verification by authorized agency personnel. We also use cryptographically signed sender identities to ensure that every alert originates from a trusted source, effectively neutralizing the risk of spoofed or malicious reports.
We offer a read-only "Press Feed" API specifically for news outlets. This allows journalists to receive authorized, pre-vetted updates and public safety information in real-time without the ability to interact with or disrupt internal mission-critical coordination channels. This ensures the public stays informed while keeping emergency channels clear for responders.
Hardware & Community Support
Not at all. Our nodes are designed for "plug-and-play" simplicity. Once you unbox the device, you simply connect it to a power source and use the Project Aziz mobile app to link it to your account via Bluetooth. The app guides you through a 3-minute setup process, automatically optimizing the device’s signal to strengthen the local mesh. No networking expertise is required.
Yes. We believe in empowering all qualified search efforts. While premium tiers are standard for municipal agencies, we offer a "Community Partner" program for vetted, non-profit volunteer organizations. This allows qualified SAR groups to access advanced coordination features at a reduced cost or through grant-funded sponsorship, ensuring no resource is left behind.
