Charles Thompson last checked in with friends the morning on 09/06/2008 near Necker Bay where he was reportedly beachcombing in the areas around Seven Fathom Bay. His skiff was later found on the rocks with the motor down and in gear near Yamani Island south of Sitka, AK. Several searches of the area were unsuccessful in locating him.
