Steven Romero

Steven was last seen on 04/13/2008. He had told family members that he was going to Albuquerque. On Friday 04/15/2008, his truck was found abandoned on N.M. 117 near Mile Marker 35. The truck had two flat tires. His baseball cap, a bag of food, and his walking stick were left in the truck. His backpack, identification, and GPS were missing. It is possible that he hiked into the lava fields of the El Malpais National Monument as his truck was found about 300 yards south of a trailhead and parking area. No sign of Steven was found around or near the truck and no one has seen or heard from him since.
