API Terms of Service

Terms governing developer and third-party access to the Project Aziz API. These terms supplement the general Terms of Service.

1. API License

J Computer Solutions LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Project Aziz API for the purpose of building applications that assist in finding missing persons or supporting Project Aziz's mission. This license is conditioned on your compliance with these terms.

2. API Keys

You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Do not embed API keys in client-side code, public repositories, or shared environments. You are liable for all API usage under your keys. Report compromised keys immediately via our contact page.

3. Rate Limits

API usage is subject to rate limits published in the API documentation. Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary throttling. Persistent abuse of rate limits may result in key suspension. Contact us for enterprise-level rate limit agreements.

4. Prohibited Uses

  • Using the API to track individuals without their consent;
  • Building applications that facilitate stalking, harassment, or surveillance;
  • Scraping or bulk-downloading case data beyond your authorized tier;
  • Reselling API access or building a competing missing persons platform;
  • Using the API to access data for any purpose other than stated in your application registration;
  • Circumventing authentication, rate limits, or access controls.

5. Data Handling

Data accessed through the API remains subject to our Privacy Policy. You must implement appropriate security measures to protect any data you retrieve. You must delete data when no longer needed and comply with any data subject requests we forward to you within 30 days.

6. Attribution

Applications using the Project Aziz API must display "Powered by Project Aziz" or equivalent attribution in any user-facing interface that displays Project Aziz data. Attribution placement must be reasonably visible and must link to projectaziz.com.

7. Termination

We may revoke API access at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with 30 days notice (or immediately for security violations). Upon termination, you must delete all data obtained through the API unless required to retain it by law.

8. Changes to the API

We may modify, deprecate, or discontinue API endpoints with reasonable notice (minimum 30 days for non-security changes). Major version changes that break backwards compatibility will be communicated at least 90 days in advance.

9. Enterprise & High-Volume Access

Organizations requiring higher rate limits, dedicated support, or custom integration terms should contact us via the contact page. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is required for organizations subject to GDPR or CCPA.
