Terms governing how law enforcement agencies, sheriff offices, and first responder organizations access and use Project Aziz data and services.
This Agreement is between J Computer Solutions LLC ("Provider") and the law enforcement agency, sheriff office, or first responder organization ("Agency") seeking access to Project Aziz law enforcement features. The purpose is to establish data sharing protocols that support active missing person investigations while maintaining compliance with applicable law.
Access to law enforcement features is limited to: sworn law enforcement officers; authorized civilian personnel of a law enforcement agency; and command staff with appropriate supervisory authority. Agencies are responsible for ensuring only authorized personnel access the platform. Shared credentials are strictly prohibited.
The Agency agrees to: handle all data accessed through Project Aziz in accordance with applicable law, including the Privacy Act and CJIS Security Policy where applicable; not use platform data for any purpose other than active missing person investigations; maintain audit logs of data access; and destroy or return data upon case closure as required by retention policies.
Agencies accessing Criminal Justice Information through the Project Aziz platform must execute the CJIS Security Addendum. The Provider maintains CJIS-aligned security controls and undergoes periodic security reviews. See our CJIS Security Addendum for complete requirements.
In the event of a data breach affecting agency-accessed information, the Provider will notify the Agency within 72 hours of discovery. The Agency must notify the Provider within 24 hours of discovering any unauthorized access through agency credentials.
Each party is responsible for its own actions in connection with this Agreement. The Agency indemnifies J Computer Solutions LLC against claims arising from misuse of platform access by Agency personnel. The Provider indemnifies the Agency against claims arising from Provider's failure to maintain required security controls.
