Important Notice
By uploading photos or audio recordings to Project Aziz, you are providing biometric data. You must obtain the informed written consent of any person whose biometric data you submit before submitting it. Submitting biometric data for another person without their consent may violate state and federal law.
Project Aziz may collect and process the following biometric identifiers:
Biometric data is collected exclusively for the purpose of assisting in the identification and recovery of missing persons. Specifically, it is used to train AI recognition models that are deployed on field hardware (cameras, mesh nodes) to actively search for the missing individual. Biometric data is never sold, leased, or traded to third parties.
Biometric data is retained:
When the retention period expires, biometric data is permanently and irreversibly destroyed using industry-standard secure deletion methods. Backups containing biometric data are purged on the same schedule.
Biometric data may be shared only with: (a) law enforcement agencies directly involved in recovering the missing person; (b) technical subprocessors operating under written DPA agreements with equivalent protections; and (c) as required by court order or applicable law. We do not sell biometric data under any circumstances.
You have the right to: (a) know what biometric data we hold about you; (b) request deletion of your biometric data at any time; (c) revoke consent, which will result in deletion of your biometric data within 30 days. To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact page.
Biometric data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 and TLS 1.3 respectively. Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. We maintain a written security policy consistent with applicable regulatory requirements including CJIS Security Policy where applicable.
