Safety & Trust

Project Aziz exists to help find missing people — a mission that only works if the platform can't be turned against the people it's meant to protect. This page lays out, in detail, how we vet what's posted, who's allowed to use certain features, and what happens when something goes wrong.

At a glance

  • Every case is reviewed by our team before it goes public.
  • Tips go to real people for review, not straight to the public.
  • Convicted stalkers, abusers, and anyone under a relevant restraining order are banned from the platform.
  • Location sharing is opt-in and revocable by either side, any time.
  • You can delete your account, and request deletion of your data, at any time.
  • We never sell your personal data.
  • Biometric scanning requires consent and can be revoked at any time.
  • Project Aziz is not a substitute for 911 — we say so, clearly, everywhere it matters.

How we keep bad information out

Nothing reaches the public unreviewed

Every Case Is Reviewed

A missing person case doesn't go public the moment it's submitted. It sits in a review queue — including any linked police report — until our team approves it, which keeps fabricated or bad-faith reports from ever reaching searchers, tipsters, or the family the case is supposedly about.

Tips Are Vetted, Not Broadcast

Every tip is logged with a review status and goes to case investigators and subscribers, not straight to the public. That gives a real person a chance to catch a hoax, a harassment attempt, or an unsafe lead before anyone acts on it. Submitting a knowingly false tip can itself be a crime, and we cooperate with law enforcement on those investigations.

Certain Users Are Screened Out

Our Acceptable Use Policy bars anyone convicted of stalking, domestic violence, or crimes against children, and anyone subject to a restraining order against a person they're trying to locate, from using the platform at all.

Worried the platform could be used to track or find you?

A missing person case is only supposed to be created for a genuinely missing individual, with that person's or their guardian's authorization — not as a pretext to locate someone who doesn't want to be found. Anyone who misuses the platform this way, including to stalk, monitor, or track a person against their will, faces removal, a permanent ban, and referral to law enforcement. Location sharing in My Aziz Network only happens between people who've mutually connected, and you can end that connection yourself at any time — see Acceptable Use and Biometric Consent for the full rules. If you believe someone is misusing Project Aziz against you, contact us immediately — and if you're in danger, call 911 first.

Your data, your control

Nothing about your data is permanent or hidden from you

Delete Your Account, Any Time

You can delete your account yourself from account settings whenever you want — no support ticket required, no waiting period to start the process.

Biometric Rights: Know, Delete, Revoke

If facial or voice data was ever submitted for you, you have the right to know what we hold, request its deletion at any time, and revoke consent — which triggers deletion within 30 days. Details are in our Biometric Data Consent policy.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We work with select vendors for hosting, analytics, and payments, and every one of them is contractually required to protect your data the way we do. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Anonymous Tips Have Real Limits

An "anonymous" tip doesn't store your name or account with it, but IP and browser metadata can be retained for up to 90 days for security purposes and may be disclosed under valid legal process. Read the full Tip Disclaimer before submitting.

Want to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information directly? Email privacy@projectaziz.com.

Locked down by design

Access to your data is restricted and logged

Two-Factor Authentication

Every account can enable two-factor authentication to make it much harder for anyone but you to sign in, even if your password is ever compromised.

Role-Based, Least-Privilege Access

Case data, tips, and agency tools are only visible to people with a legitimate role-based reason to see them — investigators see cases, not the whole platform's data.

Everything Is Audit-Logged

Case views, tip reviews, and role changes are all logged, so misuse by an insider is traceable, not invisible. Full detail is on our Security & Compliance page.

Independent Security Testing

We run a public Vulnerability Disclosure Policy so security researchers can responsibly report weaknesses before they can be exploited.

Not a substitute for 911

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or you have information about an ongoing emergency, call 911 first. Project Aziz supplements law enforcement and cannot dispatch emergency services on its own.

What happens when someone breaks the rules

Violations of our Acceptable Use Policy — stalking, harassment, doxxing, impersonation, fabricated cases or tips — can result in:

  • Immediate removal of the offending content;
  • Account suspension or a permanent ban;
  • Referral to law enforcement, and full cooperation with any resulting investigation;
  • Civil or criminal liability for the person responsible, including for knowingly false reports.

Reporting a problem in good faith — even if it turns out to be a misunderstanding — will never result in action against you as the reporter.

See something wrong? Tell us.

If you spot a fake case, a harassing tip, or someone misusing My Aziz Network, report it through our contact page with as much detail as you can. We review every report, and reporting in good faith never results in action against the reporter.
